Actions on the day at Blenheim

Margraf Philip’s Horse Cuirassier Regiment were part of Prince Eugene’s army on the right flank of the allies at Blenheim.

They were one of 16 Squadrons in the brigade commanded by Major General Natzmer and the brigade itself was part of the 40 squadrons under the command of Prince Maximillian of Hanover. These 40 squadrons represented Eugene’s 1st Line of cavalry.

Uniform Details

Margraf Philipp Horse Regiment, Blenheim, Prussia White coat lined blue. White hat lace. Belts in buff leather. Breeches were also buff. The neckcloth was red.

Musicians had all blue coats (ie: no white turn backs) with silver lace.

Officers had all white coats (ie:  no blue turnbacks) with silver lace.
