Actions on the day at Blenheim
The Languedoc regiment were part of Marquis de Clerambault section on the French Right Wing. They were in the third line of defence and stationed behind the village of Blenheim itself. There were in fact 2 battalions of the Languedoce regiment at the battle and both were stationed together behind the village.

Both battalions were ordered into the village by Clerambault when the second assualt from the allies started against Blenheim village. In fact Clerambault ordered a total of 18 battalions into the village at that point.
