Erbprinz von Hessen-Kassel
Actions on the day at Blenheim
The Erbprinz von Hessen Kassel regiment were part of the allied center and formed part of Major General Pallandt’s brigade which itself was under the overall command of Lieutenant General Horn.
Researching this regiment gave me a lot of headaches because there is another Erbrinz von Hessen-Kassel also at Blenheim and they are part of Cutt’s assault column. I still haven’t resolved this properly so if anyone has any information they can share please do post a comment below.

The unit in Cutts column was a Hessian unit. The unit under Pallandt was a Prussian unit. Both are Erbprinz von Hesse-Cassel. There is an obat here if you haven’t seen it already:

This looks to be a great project!
Hi Phil,
Thanks. I’ll need to check I got the uniform details right for this one then!
Yes I do know that OOB at Wikipedia. I’m using a combination of that one and the one in book by Iain Stanford.
It’s all proving very absorbing work but highly enjoyable.
I have around 50 units painted so I need to catch up with the number on this blog and start to add pictures of them painted.
Nice. I have Goldberg/Belaubre on the Hessians in this period, and you have more detail than what he has, but the detail he does have matches yours (blue coat, lined red, white buttons).
