The Armies of Blenheim
Most battles involve two armies.
One of the reasons Marlborough was so successful was that he faced two armies who fought with different battlefield strategies.
So, for this blog I have decided to have three categories for my armies.
I have one for the Marlborough’s Grand Alliance and I have two for the French army. I have split the French into the Franco-Bavarian army under Marshal Tallard and the Elector of Bavaria’s army under Prince Maximillian II Emmanuel Wittelsbach, the Elector of Bavaria.
